Taylor Romero began her dance journey at the age of six. She has been trained in ballet for twelve years and hip hop for eight. In high school Taylor was a member of Dance Productions for 3 years. Through this dance team she found her love for choreography and eventually became one of the Head Choreographers, as well as President her senior year. Taylor started teaching hip hop professionally at the age of 16 at her hometown dance studio, Ramona Julian Academy of Dance. She currently teaches all levels of youth hip hop ranging from 3 all the way to 18, as well as coaching RJAD’s Hip Hop Competition Team. After high school, Taylor further pursued her dancing career. She has has the opportunity to perform in many local events such as San Diego’s Trolley Dances, Body Rock, and Culture Shock’s Cabret Night. In February of 2015, Taylor was scouted and asked to join Urban FX. In September 2017, Taylor auditioned for GWOWNUPS directed by Carlo Darang and Amor Ledesma. She is currently on this team and is forever grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside such dedicated dancers who have become her family. Taylor is very involved in the community.  She currently teaches at Culture Shock Dance Center, Studio FX, and RJAD. She is also a Session Coordinator at Building Block. Taylor is currently attending college to advance her nursing career while training every chance she gets to further her dance career. She is forever a student who is eager to learn more. Being a teacher and getting to inspire her students is one of the things Taylor cherishes the most. She believes, “Being a part of a student’s life, whether it be for one class or for many years, is a chance for me to spread love and light their way, while sharing my knowledge, and helping them grow into a better dancer and person.” Her mission is to one day connect her nursing along with her dancing to make an inspiring impact on her students, patients, and the world.
